Spherical glass which is smaller than 1 mm in diameter are called glass bead. It is used especially for sandblasting of stainless steel and aluminum surfaces. Apart from that glass beads can be applied for all the materials for sensitive surface cleaning. Pressure adjustment must be made properly during the use glass beads. of the pressure adjustment must be made for the good of glass beads. Otherwise, it can cause shadowing on sandblasted surfaces. Another important point that must be considered in the use of glass beads is long time reuse should be avoided. Because the structure of glass bead is too fragile, it may be broken at the first blast and later blasting can cause cracks in the surface like grit abrasives. Therefore we, as Saykar Metallurgy recommend maximum 2 times use of glass beads.
